One of things I like is M Night Shyamalan's movies. I really like them all.
So right now you may be thinking to yourself, what is wrong with this person, and why am I reading this BS about a terrible director. But hopefully somewhere, somehow, someone will agree with me that he is a brilliant writer and director.
One of his movies that I love is Signs. I can't even begin to count how many times I have watched it.
I love the extremely dry humor, and the fantastic acting. It has one of my favorite actors Joaquin Phoenix, and Mel Gibson does a great job also.
It is coming from the perspective of an average person without military involvement, which is another unique look at alien invasion.
The main character has lost his faith in God. As a Christian, I totally understand how hard it can be to keep one's faith after a devastating event, but I also know how precious it is to find it again.
Many people have issues with this movie. I can totally understand why--especially the aliens, why don't they have weapons, why would they come to a planet that is 70% water. What would the alien have done in the cornfield if it had rained. After watching this movie over and over, I have picked up a hundred more, but the flaws do not outweigh the magnitude of this most wonderous (<==not an actual word) film.
